Al’s Garden Center and Greenhouses donates
plants, flowers and herbs to each of our program sites. We are very grateful
for Al’s generosity.
Al’s Garden Center has retail operations in
Woodburn, Sherwood & Gresham. They feature annuals, perennials, nursery stock, water gardening, outdoor living accessories, a complete garden and gift shop, and a seasonal Christmas
shop. Al’s has 3 large growing operations in the Willamette Valley,
which grow over 90% of their plant material.
Portland Nursery provides a generous discount to Garden Partners for plants, soil, and materials, which are used in each of our programs. This is a great help to Garden Partners!
Portland
Nursery — “A Passion for Plants. A Nursery for Plant People.” With
two locations (50th & SE Stark and 90th & SE Division), Portland
Nursery offers a wide variety of plants, products, gifts and inspiration
for the gardeners in this region. They strive for the best quality possible
in their inventory and in their customer service, in the hopes that their
customers can have a successful and pleasure-filled gardening experience.
The Jealous Gardener donates indoor and outdoor
plants and cut flowers every two weeks for use in our programs.
The Jealous
Gardener is a retail garden shop offering houseplants, unique pots,
garden furniture and accessories, gifts, etc. They are located in the Sellwood
area of SE Portland.
Jane Luthy, Landscape Designer has
provided a variety of attractive garden designs for our program sites since
our formation in 1999.
Jane Luthy is the owner of Coombs and Luthy
Landscape Design in Portland, Oregon. They specialize in all phases of

McMenamins supports our work through a Family and Friends Night fundraising event, held at the Northeast Broadway location.
McMenamins hotels, pubs, and breweries is committed to the well-being of the community by targeting opportunities that bring together their properties, employees, and charities. They focus their contributions in the areas of education, human support services, and community development.
Oscar Albert Garden Boutique and Wine Bar donates a portion of proceeds to Garden Partners!
Oscar Albert Garden Boutique and Wine Bar is a retail garden shop and wine bar offering garden plants, eco-friendly wine and beers, salads, paninis, shade-grown organic coffee, exquisite gifts, live music on the weekends, and a place for community. They are located at 4847 SE Division St. in Portland.
Anne Kirk, Red Bird Design and Acer Institute have
provided skilled guidance and expertise in therapeutic garden design
for Garden Partners’ projects.
Red
Bird Design collaborates with clients and communities to create wellness-oriented
gardens, with a strong awareness that sensitively-designed environments
have a remarkable effect on health — emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Acer
Institute is a Therapeutic Landscape Collaborative: Consultation + Education
+ Resources. It provides information and access to the therapeutic landscape
design community, to enhance the development of our programs.
Cracked Pots has provided lovely and whimsical
garden art for viewing at our first Garden Partners program site. The art
has drawn many wonderful responses from residents, staff and visitors.
Cracked
Pots is a nonprofit group in Portland, Oregon, promoting creative re-use
of materials and reducing stuff destined for the landfill. They are passionately
committed to educating people about recycling while transforming Portland’s
gardens and open spaces with nifty art. They believe art teaches and artists
are the teachers.
Gazebo Guys provided the design, materials
and construction of a Gazebo to use as a work and storage area at a Garden
Partners program site.
Gazebo
Guys designs and builds Custom Gazebos, decks, and arbors using high-quality
materials and detailed workmanship.
ProGrass provided in-kind donations, volunteer
hours, and cash contributions to Garden Partners’ projects and programs.
ProGrass has
offered full-service and local residential and commercial landscape care since
1978. Services include complete maintenance, landscape design, construction/renovation
and irrigation services. ProGrass proudly offers NaturalCare: a safe, healthy
way to enjoy a beautiful landscape.
Friends of the Carpenter provided the skills of
volunteer carpenters and homeless clients to build cedar planter
boxes for Garden Partners’ program sites.
Friends
of the Carpenter is a ministry of building positive and productive
relationships among the poor and homeless in the Christian community. Through
safe and supervised woodworking activities, people experience “sanctuary,” where
everyone is welcomed, accepted and respected.
Loaves & Fishes provided space and support
for our weekly gardening sessions at the Thelma Skelton Loaves & Fishes
Center located at 3925 SE Milwaukie Avenue in Portland.
Loaves & Fishes is committed to enriching the
lives of seniors and assisting them in maintaining independence by making
nutritious food, social contacts and other resources easily available. They
accomplish this through an organization that is community based, emphasizes
volunteer involvement and is financially sound.
SAGE / FEDE contributed space and construction
help for the development of a unique accessible garden for
a retirement facility in southeast Portland.
Services for All Generations Enterprises (SAGE) is a corporate provider of management and care services in a variety
of settings. Working closely with Faith Enhanced Development Enterprises,
a nonprofit developer of faith-based communities, SAGE responds to the
needs of the aging, disabled, students and the poor. SAGE honors the innate
human dignity of all people by providing compassionate and professional
care daily.
