Our Philosophy

Garden Partners' philosophy of therapeutic gardening is unique:

• We work to engage individuals in therapeutic gardening activities with the goal of improving the quality of their daily lives.
• We assume elderly or physically, mentally, or emotionally challenged individuals are as able as the next person to nurture and care for other living things.
• We believe each individual's life has meaning and purpose.

Year-Round. Because enhancing quality of life is an ongoing and evolving concept — not a time-limited endeavor, complete once treatment is finished — Garden Partners makes a commitment to provide services on a year-round, ongoing basis. We work to create long-term relationships with and among residents living in care facilities and in our communities.

While still new to the general medical community, therapeutic gardening is a well-known and trusted treatment method in the occupational and horticultural therapy communities.
